Joe Samuels

Joe Samuels is a native of Orange County.  After graduation from Hampden-Sydney College he joined his father in the real estate business started by his grandfather in 1913.  Joe currently serves on the Board of the Charlottesville Area Community Foundation (www.cacfonline.org) , the Board of Worksource Enterprises (www.worksourceva.org) and on the Board of Community Services Housing, Inc., a local non-profit providing housing for the disabled.  Joe was a founding member and for many years Vice-Chair of the Albemarle County Acquisition of Conservation Easements (ACE) Program providing local farmers an avenue for protection of their farms.  Joe is a member of the Whitehall Ruritan Club where he has served in many capacities including President.  He is a member of Charlottesville's St. Paul's Memorial Church having served on the Vestry and as Junior Warden, on the Building and Grounds Committee and on the Finance Committee. Joe and Owie have protected in perpetuity their home, Long Ridge Farm in the Farmington Hunt, through a conservation easement.
